Young nun collecting alms
Anticipation

Collecting alms food is a discipline practice and it is repeated daily as means of making merit, by developing generosity. Buddhist monks/nuns wander silently through the villages or towns with their alms-bowls and collect the food for the day. Then they will share the food and usually eat communally upon arrival at the monasteries and for some of them that is the only meal- before midday.

  2. Beautifully framed. It is such a simple way of living from what you described there, and which I can see also is reflected in your photo.
