Documentary Portraits

I incline towards natural environment when it comes to portraiture, as in this instance, I get a chance to capture the most natural occasions. Posing becomes less important to any subject as they subconsciously feel less intimated and appear to be in their comfortable zone. Documenting those moments will then unintentionally fall into documentary as well as portraits. This fine line between the two is allowing me to capture current emotional status of the subject with no need of justifying the setting of scene.

  1. Thank you, Debbie for your truly encouraging comments.:)

  2. Whilst I adore your black and white shots, the flash of colour in the flowers in the picture of the person in white robes, and the colourful robes of the monks against the grey wall are captivating.
I’m so glad I stumbled into your blog today!
